Community Care

Building Stronger Communities along the Kokoda Trail

Niugini Adventure Tours is dedicated to assisting in the development of the local communities in the Kokoda and Koari region. The PNG owned business ensures that it contributes to the development of people in a positive manner by listening to the needs of the community itself.

You will be happy to know that every Niugini Adventure Tours booking contributes directly to community development funds established by Niugini Adventure Tours, allowing you to leave your own legacy.

Kokoda Health Services Fund

Better Health Care

This fund assists in the development and improvement of Health Care Services and programs. Initial Funding will be used to provide first aid training to two people from each of the villages along the Trail.

Other programs include dental care, nutrition, wound care, Aids Awareness and prevention, sex education and optical care.

In the longer term we would like to establish a Scholarship to encourage interested villagers to undertake medical, dental, nursing or paramedic training.

Kokoda Education Services Fund

Foundations for the Future

The Kokoda Education Services Fund was established to assist each of the schools along the Kokoda Track. The money from this fund assists in the provision of equipment and teaching materials , such as stationery, books, reference guides.

In the longer term, we would like to establish a Scholarship to provide interested villagers training in the education field.
